January
Chilli Mondays
Every Monday in January, starting at 5:00PM: a free bowl of chilli with your first pint.
Thursday steak nights
2-4-1
Throughout January our famous two for one steaks are back on the menu. Rib-eye, sirloin, fillet or beef. Served with our home-made twice-fried chips, tomatoes and onions.
T-bones!
Aberdeen Angus extra matured 1lb T-Bones (pre-order only).
Or choose gammon or salmon. (Salmon is served with peas instead of onions.)

Monday 12th December
Members of the St Albans Abbey Bach Choir once again sang carols.
Halloween
We showed Halloween the movie, followed by a party in the bar until 1:00 in the morning.
Popcorn came with the ticket. Also on offer: jacket spuds with our special chilli-con-carne or cheddar and beans.
Prizes were awarded for the best fancy dress.
Lower Red Lion Film Nights
August and September 2011
This summer we screened a series of films in the Lower Red Lion garden.
We began with The Blue Brothers, followed that up with Grease, and then screened a comedy double bill: Blazing Saddles and Monty Python’s Life of Brian.
Doors opened at 7:00, with the main feature starting at dusk. Tickets included a portion of popcorn.
Spring Bank Holiday Beer Festival

20 different beers. Selected ciders and perrys.
BBQ all weekend.
Royal Wedding Street Party
Friday 29th April 2011
From midday: BBQ, real ales. BYO or buy in pub. Fish and chips from 6:30
If you book a room early enough, you may be able to stay overnight.
